Symptom: the inner tube of the hose is very hard and cracked.

 

 

 

 

 

Cause analysis: high temperature is easy to make the plasticizer in the inner tube precipitate, which is a material that can make the hose soft and plastic. The oil with gas can oxidize the inner tube. This oxidation reaction on rubber products hardens them. Oxygen and high temperature will greatly accelerate the hardening of the inner tube of the hose. The cavitation in the inner tube is the same.

 

 

 

 

 

Symptom: the inside and outside of the hose are cracked, but the elastic material is still soft and flexible at room temperature.

 

 

 

 

 

Cause analysis: the possible cause is the extremely low ambient temperature when the hose is flexed. Most standard hoses are rated at - 40 degrees, some AQP hoses at - 49 degrees, military hose at - 54 degrees, some thermoplastic hoses at - 54 degrees, and polytetrafluoroethylene hoses at - 73 degrees.
